Sleep was no option for me last night. The daunting idea of fear mongering and job security whispered and shouted across platforms and boardrooms, unsettled me, to say the least. I knew there was more, I just needed to find a way to share it. This is the quick list I could give Namibia and other countries whom may be interested to showcase the bright future of our Tech Revolution:

Hardware

Chips, Networking (cable management, etc), Robotics (3D Printers, etc), Drone Hardware Specialists, Telecommunication Specialists (towers, dishes etc), Warranty Centres (engineers, administration, etc), Re-Sellers (Warehouses / Factories, sales persons, HR, Administrators (finance), etc), Refurbishment Facilities (rebuild and redistribute 2nd hand machines, technicians, and more personnel needed), Green Waste.

Software

Developers, Designers, AI Algorithm Auditors, Data Analytics Specialists, Database Specialists, Backup Specialists, Data Capturers, SOC, SIEM, Cybersecurity, User Administrators (password management etc.), AI Regulators, AI Law, Robotics Software Developers, (designers, architects etc), Drone Software Developers (developers, designers, architects, etc), Automation Engineering Specialists (business process mapping and automation)
𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬: Electrical Specialists for Batteries & Electrical Cars, Solar Panel Factories, Water Plants Specialists, Financial Institutions (AI against fraud), AI in Health, Insurance both in Hardware and Software.

Conclusion

These are but a few items I could come up with in 30 minutes. Clearly indicating that whilst some jobs may become “less important”, essentially the focus will simply be shifted and the horizons broadened for each sector. AI enables effective targeted marketing, broadening the scope, not eliminating it, for exsample. AI can be and should be used for the good of all.
